Our first step in creating more storage and space was to rearrange the master suite area. By reorganizing unnecessary flex space and deleting a utility wall, we created one large, continuous closet and a master bathroom three times the size of the former.

In the kitchen, we made hosting family dinners and small groups much easier by removing walls impeding the flow to the dining room and relocating the utility room. She now has a “mom command center desk” and plenty of space to wash baseball pants, store supplies, and get work done. We also relocated the garage entry and added an addition for the powder bathroom, extended the back wall of the kitchen, and built a large island that seats 3 adults comfortably.

To create additional storage, we gave them two pantry solutions: one in the form of a stain-grade pantry tower (which feels like a free-standing piece of furniture), and secondly, we made use of a closet by the stairway as an overstock pantry.
